During COVID, Maddie put her encyclopedic knowledge, creative spirit, and culinary expertise to good use opening her eponymous grab and go shop, Maddie’s Market. Maddie joins Embark with a passion for food, knack for logistics and desire to see the world.

Favorite Destination and Why: Thailand intoxicated me with it's perfect mix of scenics, culture and spirituality. From the food to the beaches, my visit unlocked a passion to experience not only all of Asia, but the rest of the world.

My Travel Style Is: I'm pretty detail oriented in general and spend extensive time researching hotels and restaurants. I am also a total Aviation nerd and will always research airlines and aircraft down to the seat I choose. I don't often "fly by the seat of my pants"...

I was the Samantha doll in the original American Girl Doll catalog in 1993.

I worked at the Shedd Aquarium & Oceanarium in high school and went to college to become a Marine Biologist.

As a television producer specializing in food, I traveled all over the country seeking out America's Best Bites learning to make them in restaurant kitchens..
