When Katie graduated from a top Journalism school with a portfolio of clips and big dreams to tell stories, she never imagined that she’d end up getting to tell stories through events. Her first job, working on a Bob Dylan + Willie Nelson tour of minor league ballparks launched her career in events. 20 years later, Katie has worked on events around the globe: From parties on a private island to meetings in a Yurt in the mountains, to dance parties in the jungle and milestone celebrations on the Amalfi Coast. Her extensive background in both event production and travel, paired with an intricate understanding of the luxury service industry means her team is built to create a full-service experience for the guest looking to host their event out of town. Working directly with the clients, or other event teams, she will curate all of the details for a five-star destination event.

Favorite Destination and Why: I'd like to list 10, but topping the list: Anywhere in France (the style, the tiny towns, the bustling city, the pure inspiration of being anywhere, from Paris to the lavender fields to the beach). St. Barths, The Galapagos and so many mountain towns (Telluride! Jackson! Salzburg!) round out the list.

My Travel Style Is: I love trip preparation. I’m a big “production schedule” fan, so well in advance of a departure, there’s a day-by-day overview of upcoming activities: When exploring a new place I like to be sure that each day includes the following: time for wellness, a local activity or experience, a special meal like awesome local street tacos, ramen, or an elegant Michelin-starred meal, time for rest, and of course, a time for happy hour!

Languages: Very fast English

Fun Facts About Me: 

After 40+ years in Chicago we moved our family to Charleston, SC, where we get to play tennis outside year-round!

I have a DJ alter-ego named DJ WPF (for white picket fence, as in the one at my house). I LOVE music.

I still keep a written daily planner (I use an e-one, too), but love to write things down.
