A tour operator by trade, I began my career specializing in VIP luxury travel to the exotic parts of the world (Africa, Asia, Latin America, etc.). After a few initial trips to Africa, I decided to exclusively focus on the continent and ended up managing National Geographic Adventures' Africa departures. Along the way, I was recruited by a reputable British safari operator and focused exclusively on Botswana and Tanzania as my specialities along with multiple educational visits to the countries. Prior to the pandemic, I had a go at entrepreneurship and started my own tour operator before joining EMBARK Beyond and ultimately co-founding EMBARK Safaris. When I'm not traveling to Africa on educational visits, I live in San Francisco with my family.

Favorite Destination and Why: Botswana - The country's sustainable low-volume business model provides the most exclusive, epic game viewing on the planet. Guests stay in small, ultra-luxe camps with their own enormous, private "playground" of stunnign wilderness teeming with wildlife.

My Travel Style Is: In depth, off the beaten path experiences. I love being the first to experience something or creating an experience from scratch myself to share with guests.

Fun Facts About Me: 
I’m a guitar player! I’ve been playing as a hobbyist since I was 13 and had a brief stint in a heavy metal cover band when I was in high school. Music is a huge passion of mine, and I’m enjoying seeing my daughter share the same interests with her voice, keyboard, and Ableton (beat-making) lessons.

I am proficient in Russian.

I've been to over 60 camps in Botswana.
