My love for hotels was formed at a young age. My parents had a tradition of taking our family to The Lodge at Pebble Beach, and to this day, I can still smell the fresh cut grass of the 18th fairway, and feel the ocean spray as I sat with my dad on the seawall at sunset. Pebble Beach became such a special part of our family’s story, and it’s where I learned the importance of tradition, celebration, forming priceless family memories, and how to appreciate true worldclass service. I got my first hotel job in Beverly Hills during college at UCLA, and began exploring the world as a solo traveler through Asia and Western Europe. From then on I was blessed with a 15 year career as a hotelier, representing luxury resorts all over Southern California and Bora Bora. Today, as a travel advisor, wife, and mother, it’s my true joy to share the unique art of hospitality with my own family now, and help friends and clients create their own travel memories that they will savor for a lifetime.
Favorite Destination and Why: It should come as no surprise - Pebble Beach! It has everything I love – golf, worldclass tradition, and views that remind you of God’s goodness. There’s a reason why it’s been coined “the greatest meeting of land and water in the world.” Perhaps because I have English roots, I tend to gravitate towards cool, fresh sea air, which is why I also love Scotland, Ireland, the English countryside and Northern France.
Areas of Specialty: Tahiti/Bora Bora, Western Europe, Golf Destinations, Mexico.
My Travel Style Is: Not go-go-go. It’s important to me to settle into one place for a while, living like a local whether it be in a major city or small town. While sometimes there can be a case made for it, I try my hardest to avoid tourist traps. My love for luxury hotels is obvious and I have a good eye for quality and service, but I definitely enjoy getting off the beaten path and am happy to sacrifice luxury if it means experiencing a destination more authentically.
Fun Facts About Me:
I grew up working on my family’s strawberry farm. To this day I will not eat a strawberry unless my brother grew it!
I speak French and Italian and studied abroad in Paris and Florence.
I am a huge sports fan and will admit I’m glued to the TV during major golf tournaments, Sunday football and Padre baseball games. I’ve been known to cry during post game interviews!
