Renee Falack

Bio

A born and bred New Yorker with a passion for all things food and travel. After graduating NYU with a degree in advertising and marketing, and spending a few years in the advertising world, Renee made the switch to the travel industry where she found her true calling. Studying abroad in Florence and traveling around Europe instilled in her that desire to explore different cultures, meet new people, and see the world (oftentimes through food)! One of her all-time favorite meals was at the insanely creative Tickets Bar in Barcelona.

Aside from travel, Renee enjoys reading, yoga, running, and all things food related. She also manages the food blog, "The Brooklyn Bite".

Renee's travel tip is to always try and step outside your comfort zone, experience something you've never done, see something you've never seen. You only live once after all and there's a whole world out there to explore.

What's in my bag? My carry-on plane essentials:

Traveling with kids: **IPADs (for each of them), candy/snack bag labeled with each child's name and containing the (exact) same snacks and candy for each (to avoid bickering), change of clothes (for the little one), empty sippy cups to fill after security, cream cheese & olive sandwiches on pita with twisted cheese on side and sliced cucumbers with lemon and salt.

Traveling without kids: Kindle - charged and loaded up with multiple books (in case one is no good and there's no Wi-Fi to download on trip), real book- in case of kindle malfunction (it's happened before), lulu lemon large comfy scarf / blanket - best purchase ever, extra iPhone charger, small cosmetic bag of travel essentials- moisturizer, chap stick, travel tooth brush/paste, sanitizer, bronzer, sunglasses, comfy socks, snacks - I get way too cranky without imminent viable snack/food options in sight. Nuts, dried fruit, cut up veggies, granola bars, dark chocolate - great travel snacks.
