Paul Walsh

Bio

Paul most recently was the Guest Relations Manager at Gramercy Tavern here in New York City, where he worked for 13 years.

His passion for food goes from fine dining at 3-star Michelin restaurants in Paris to street food in Thailand. His travel style runs from the big cities of Europe to the bush of Africa, with the Carnival in Rio thrown in for good measure.

Originally from New Jersey, Paul didn’t do much traveling when he was young. But after a trip to Amsterdam, he was quick to get the travel bug big time. Paul and his husband Scott have now been to 60 countries on 6 continents, as well as sailing on 19 cruises.

The top of his list to still explore includes India, Mongolia, Chile, Greenland, Rwanda (to see the gorillas) and, of course, Antarctica to check off that last continent. Upcoming itineraries includes Morocco, Mexico and revisiting Italy for a food tour!

Paul is more of an “glamping” adventure tourist, preferring to explore the African bush over relaxing at a spa or sitting on beach.

He really feels that travel changes peoples view of the world and how we view the people in it.
